Reflection

Web 2.0 is the main source to interact with others on the internet. The internet allow people to communicate easier and gather information quicker in a click of a mouse. Williamson Shaffer, author of How Computer Games Help Children Learn, agrees that Web 2.0 provides critical and open information needed for the public. Doctors have experienced patients perform in-depth research on the Internet on diseases and health issues and it has greatly educated them. I feel that if I continually learn from other people’s experiences through reading blogs, I will gain knowledge and wisdom from others. This idea gives me the desire to read more blogs.
Many facts today are shared on the Internet. Web 2.0 allows people and companies to share information between one another. O’Reilly believes that Internet is making a dramatic influence on global businesses. Prensky explained that young people are the natives to technology, while old generations are the immigrants to the technology. Thompson, in 2007, said that many universities are already using the current Web 2.0 for educational purposes. Examples of these influences are the Universities today. A mass majority of universities offer online courses. The standard of re-using material is very successful because other people may want to become educated by the same material. E-learning is a lot more effective in multiple ways like using money, time, wide range of knowledge more effectively. The US Military spent a lot of money for technology enhanced learning techniques. BYUH is involved in establishing online classes for students everywhere. I feel excited to participate in creating instructional videos, design and development. My feel my career is more related to that sort of department. I am looking for a part time job right now. If you have a job available, I would be interested in working with you.
